Volkzzz
Hey guys, I'm going to build a new PC in a few months and just wanted to know if the HX850 is enough for it. The Build: Intel Core i7 920 Corsair TR3X6G1866C9DF 6GB (3x 2GB) (1866MHz) DDR3 Seagate 7200.12 Barracuda 1TB Asus P6T Samsung SH-S223B DvD Drive eVGA GTX 260 Core 216 (55nm) SuperClocked 2 Way SLI I want this system to last quite a long time, so would the HX850 be enough for that or would I need the HX1000? Thanks for your help:):

Volkzzz
Lol, thanks mate :). Just to clarify though, do you think it would be a good idea to get the HX1000 to future proof? Or is the HX850 more than enough for that?
Wired
Unless you're going SLI, both are overkill.
Volkzzz
Yeah, I'm going to get the HX1000 because I will run TRI SLI with the GTX 260, seeing as the motherboard I'm getting supports it. Thanks dude
C17chief
plenty...and with the trend being components using less and less power, both in the way of cpu and vid cards, it should be good for some time to come as well....untill size/mounting/plug standards change. heh ....and why go for 3 midrange cards like that? You do know you get diminishing returns in most situations with a multi-card setup right? In otherwords 3x cards does not equal 3x the performance? A couple 260's SLI'd would be OK since they are priced reasonable...but as far as getting a 3rd, I'd rather take the money and get 2 ATI 5850's and crossfire them, which should KILL 3x 260's. My 2 cents.
