RayWilk
I had 2GB RAM in my PC (2, 1GB modules) and I have now added 2 additional 1GB modules but my system is only showing RAM as 2942MB. I have a program called Belarc Advisor that shows I have 4, 1GB modules but that only 2942MB is usable. Any ideas? Does it mean one of the modules is faulty? any help would be appreciated. RayWilk
Also, if one of the modules is suspect, how do I determine which one it is?
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted October 15, 2009 Corsair Employees Share Posted October 15, 2009 That is normal with a 32-Bit O.S. you will not be able to access more then 32 Billion Bits of Ram so 2.8-3.6 Of available memory is normal. And test the modules one at a time with http://www.memtest.org to be sure one is not failing.
