bernardclaude
Hello, I have bought 2 kits of TWIN2X4096-8500C5. I check and find out that one memory was defuncted. When I use that memory the display doesn't work. Whithout that memory, everything work right. I have alreasdy modified the bios for remapping memory. Thanks. Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted October 5, 2009 Corsair Employees Share Posted October 5, 2009 With 4 modules I would suggest setting the memory frequency at DDR667 or DDR800 and set the memory Voltage to 2.1 Volts and set the NB/MCH/SPP Voltage to +.2 Volts as well and test the system with http://www.memtest.org. In addition, with some MB's (Mostly ASUS) you have to disable legacy USB in the bios when running any memory test.
bernardclaude
I don't think is with the freqency. I have 2x1024 Corsair Dim. I decided to upgrade Corsair to 8 Go (4x2048). I discover that there is 1 Dimm that don't work. I have test all the DIMMs (any combinaison) and all of them work fine execpt that one. I can put them together and have up to 6Go (2x2Go, 2x1Go). I haven't have to change the frequency or the voltage to get 6 Go ! Why should I have to change the frequency or the voltage to get 8Go ? Thanks
