Cprossu
Hello, I have a Corsair HX520W that stated giving me grief. It all started about a week ago when I Upgraded my CPU from a Phenom 9750 to a Phenom II 805. On bootup I noticed there was some "static" noise coming through my headphones whenever my cpu was taxed... I ignored it until yesterday when my PC started blue screening for no apparent reason with mixed error messages, most being of the "IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL" variety. I popped my hdd out, gave it a good scanning on another computer, tested the ram and CPU in a different motherboard, and everything checked out... Popped everything back in and it wasn't a minute till another BSOD came.. this time marked "IRQL_DRIVER_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL".. well anyway I happened to have a spare HX520W new in box, so I grabbed it, threw it in, and no more static noise and it was stable for 1/2 an hour... Popped the old one back in, static noise over the sound card and a crash happened within 10 minutes.. So what's my course of action?
