ACraigL
Hi, I've been running my memory at 999 MHz (using a FSB/Memory ratio of 1:1.50). By default the BIOS reported it as 1067 MHz but the system would not resume from sleep properly unless I underclocked it. My CPU is not overclocked and running at factory 3 GHz. The memory is using the default voltage and SPD timings as well, on a MSI P35 Platinum Combo motherboard. I'm one part stuck and 2 parts confused as I can't get the memory to run at 1066 MHz. I've tried changing the timings to 5-5-5-15-2T and upping the memory voltage to 2.1V, but when I do that the system will not even POST. Presently the 999MHz is the highest I can run and maintain stability. I don't understand how to tune the rest of the settings: CAS# latency RAS# to CAS# delay RAS# precharge RAS# activate to precharge TRFC TWR TWTR TRRD TRTP Any suggestions for upping the RAM speed? All under an AMI BIOS v. 2.61 Thanks!
Corsair Employee RAM GUY Posted October 5, 2009 Corsair Employee Share Posted October 5, 2009 I would test the modules one at a time with http://www.memtest.org and just load setup defaults and set the tested settings IE 2.1 Volts Cas-5 TRCD-5, TRP-5, TRAS-15 and command Rate to 2t if its listed.
