rockreid
I have 2 sticks of 2GB Corsair CM2X2048-8500C5D 5-5-5-15, 2.1V, ver1.1 ....I want to add 2 more sticks of RAM for a total of 8 GB taking up all 4 slots. The Corsair configurator only lists the TWIN2X4096-8500C5DF (for overclockers) as available, and it is listed at newegg. I am running a Gigabyte GA-X48-DQ6 motherboard w/ Intel Q9550 cpu overclocked to 3.61mhz. currently running Win XP pro 32 bit but upgrading system to Win7 64 bit upon release. Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted October 2, 2009 Corsair Employees Share Posted October 2, 2009 With 4 modules I would suggest setting the memory frequency at DDR667 or DDR800 and set the memory Voltage to 2.1 Volts and set the NB/MCH/SPP Voltage to +.2 Volts as well and test the system with http://www.memtest.org. In addition, with some MB's (Mostly ASUS) you have to disable legacy USB in the bios when running any memory test.
