enf
Hello all-- I have been scouring the internet for anyone else that has had this issue with any PSU and have come up empty. Basically after I shut down the computer or put it into Hibernate mode, the fan on the PSU will stay on for as long as I have it plugged in. Even if I unplug it and then plug it back in, the fan eventually goes back on. I figured it was a feature to cool the PSU but even immediately shutting down from a cold start still warrants the same results. I have pinpointed that its the PSU because I plugged it into my old rig (DFI LanParty, WD Sata, eVGA GeForce 8000 series vid card) and the fan stayed on still. Any way i can fix this in house or am I looking at RMA material? Thanks in advance for all the help.
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted October 2, 2009 Corsair Employees Share Posted October 2, 2009 Update the motherboard/system BIOS first. You might also want to try a different power management mode (S1, S2, S3, etc..)
