Lostdata on Flash Voyager

I have an 8G Flash Voyager which has stopped working. When inserted into a pc the lights flash and the pc recognises the drive, however when I look at it in 2my computer" it tells me that there are 0 bytes used and 0 bytes available. I habe tried using a data recovery program on it and get the message:


Error 2 in HD 129: During read Lba: LBA = 64, CHS = -1x-1x-1, Cnt = 64

***I/O Error 'Bad address mark' reading sector 64 on HD 129:


This error message is repeated for all sectors.


I have googled the message and found a russian website which seemed to indicate that the data was recoverable but the translation was dodgy so I could not figure out how to do it.


Can any one help me get my data back. It is not valuable enough to warrant a proffessional data recovery service but it is important to me.

We can replace the drive for you, however we do not offer any type of data recovery software or services. If the data is important then you may want to review the article here: http://www.corsair.com/_appnotes/AN803_CommonIssues_HelpfulTips_DLoss_DCorruption.pdf. for some data recovery advise. You may also want to check out websites such as http://www.download.com and http://www.softpedia.com and search for "USB Data Recovery," to see if you can find some freeware/shareware that may help you recover the data. If all else fails then you may need to contact a local data recovery service center to find out if the data is recoverable.
