sr_1000
Hi, I just purchased a new Corsair CX400W and installed it tonight. My system runs fine but the PSU fan does NOT spin at all. Is this normal? Does the PSU fan always spin and just ramp up under load, or does it stay off until the PSU is heavily loaded? There is nothing obstructing the PSU fan from spinning, no cable ties caught in the way, etc. FWIW I also tried loading the system up with a 3D game to use CPU/video card, the PSU warmed up considerably, but the PSU fan does not spin what so ever. Would really like to find out if I should exchange it for another, or if this is normal. Thanks!
FEAR6655
I have used several CX400's, and the fan always spun on all of them. You have a faulty PSU.
