monnier
I wanted to buy an S128, especially because of its very low specifications w.r.t power consumption (the web site's spec says 0.2W idle and 0.48W when active). Now I see it's not available any more and is replaced by the new P128 and X128, both of which specify much higher power consumption (0.5W idle and 2W active, which is in the same ballpark as traditional HDDs). Does Corsair still offer some drive that's as power-efficient as the S128? If so, which one?
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted September 23, 2009 Corsair Employees Share Posted September 23, 2009 I am sorry but the Performance and Extreme series drives are all that is available ATM And NB HDD's have improved greatly with power consumption slightly older HDD's used 10-20 watts typically.
