Island Monkey
Howdy all, I put a new build together 2 months ago and everything has been great with one exception. Its failed to post 2 during which I was forced to pull the cmos battery inorder to get the system working again. Clearing the cmos with the jumper wouldn't work and only pulling out the battery and waiting 2-3 min would. I've been told it might be the initial current draw being right at the borderline of making the rails destabilize. Another weird thing is that the PSU fan spin up at max for 1-2 secs right when the PC is turned on. This happens before the mobo even passes it's startup check. I'm using a CORSAIR CMPSU-750TX and a GA-MA790XT-UD4P motherboard with a 4870 GFX card and an AMD X2 550. Suggestions?
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted September 21, 2009 Corsair Employees Share Posted September 21, 2009 Is it possible to test the PSU with a different board? It is very likely a problem with the motherboard.
