PJ64
I receintly upgraded my Twin2X2048-6400C4 G to Twin2x 4096-8500C5D G. at the same time I upgraded my case, PSU and Video Card 9(ATI XFX HD4770), and straight away suffered random blue screen crashes and freezing. I commenced a little fault finding. I have found my system is stable on my old ram and have played with my settings in the bios and ensured it is as advised in these forums. I have run Memtest and have found sometimes it comes up with errors ( Test 1)and then I can run it again and it will come up clean on pass even telling me I was running DDR3. I don't like to admit defeat any ideas?:(:

Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted September 24, 2009 Corsair Employees Share Posted September 24, 2009 I am sorry for the long wait or that your post was missed.. When you changed to the new modules did you load setup defaults and set the tested settings for the new modules? And getting random results like that would suggest it may not be the memory that is the cause.
PJ64
I originally ran with the bios defaults but then after it did the BSOD I started looking further afield I used the manual settings you prescribed on this website. I am currently running set at 800 instead of 1066 with no issues what so ever. I ran the cpu up from its stock 3gig to 4gig for 24 hours with no problems and tweaked the 4770 as high as i could get it with no issues either it only appears when I try to run the ram at 1066 that the problems occur. Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted September 29, 2009 Corsair Employees Share Posted September 29, 2009 Please install just one module then load setup defaults and set the tested settings manually IE DDR1066 at 2.1 Volts Cas 5-5-5-15 then test with http://www.memtest.org one at a time to be sure one is not failing.
