Colours
Hi, I have just upgraded my VX450 to a HX520 to suit my new MSI 275GTX, but now I am getting a constant, soft crackle from my ESI near05 monitor speakers which increases when using 3D applications. Is the psu overstressed? I need to fix this as I use this pc for sound editing.
Colours
I just tested this gfx card on a friends 550w psu and it was fine, no interference at all. I have just tried disabling EIST in bios and bypassing my UPS (APC ES700), no difference. Can the 30w make a difference or is this psu faulty, the sound problem is huge, if I rotate a 3d object it sound like a radio transmission! Please help, I currently have rma'd some CORSAIR ram which has caused me huge grief and now this!

Colours
thanks for your quick reply, my retailer said i have to organise RA through them. I have read in some forums the HX series struggle with APC ups's - due to simulated sinewave being incompatible with PFC?
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted September 22, 2009 Corsair Employees Share Posted September 22, 2009 Pure/Simulated sinewave UPS should be no problem for compatibility with our PSU.
Colours
This is what tech support from APC has emailed me: "Since your system is quite new and it is modern version which has PFC function, the back UPS is not suitable for your system You may refer to link as below for the information of PFC issue http://jpaa-en.apc.com/cgi-bin/jpaa_en.cfg/php/enduser/std_adp.php?p_faqid=8883"
Colours
The supplier has said to me my system works fine without the ups being used, well it does not as I still have interference. As mentioned before I have tested the gfx card on a different 550w psu and there was no interference audible. Can you issue me with a RMA/DOA to get this sorted?
