mnehls
System started hanging on reboots with DMI issues, long story short - reloaded WinXP - wouldn't load with default 2 sticks of CORSAIR XMS 2GB (2 x 1GB) 184-Pin DDR SDRAM DDR 400 (been running for 3 years). Took 1 stick out loaded fine. Ran MemTest86 on both sticks individually and there was no errors. Ran MemTest86 with both sticks installed and non-stop errors and escaping the program would not boot. The system runs fine with either stick by itself. Any thoughts?
Wired
Sounds like a bad slot and/or memory controller.
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted September 18, 2009 Corsair Employees Share Posted September 18, 2009 I would agree and would suggest testing them in another system to be sure.
