VWMexanik
Hi to all on these forums! Guru's, tell me please: With these modules (TWIN2X4096-8500C5 + TWIN2X4096-8500C7G) installed on Gigabyte EP45-DS3 and running at 1066 Mhz (changed via system memory multiplier - 3.20B) - timings 5-8-8-24 is good, or too bad? I've tried 5-6-6-16 - no luck:(: Thanks in advance! P.S. Sorry for my bad English:sigh!:
Wired
That's probably as good as you're going to get considering you're maxing out the load on the memory controller and running different part numbers.
VWMexanik
So, if my system working stable at 5-8-8-24 there is no need to tweak timings? Timings, for example 5-6-6-18, unless of 5-8-8-24 can significally boost overall perfomance in games?
Wired
You can try, but 8 GB is overkill for any game out there. With that system you should be able to play any game out there with no issues.
VWMexanik
Wired Thanks a lot! Looks like the 6-6-6-12 is "maximal" stable setting, 4 hours and 3 full passes in Memtest86+ - no errors! Also I tried 5-6-6-12, but that settings cause errors. With lower settings - system won't startup. So, I'am glad! Thanks to Corsair!
