TWIN2X4096-6400C4DHX timing problems on ASROCK N7AD-SLI

I've been going through the forums to find out how to set the recommend settings for this memory i.e. 4-4-4-12 2T 2.1V.

Unfortunately my motherboard's DRAM voltage settings are either 2.08 or 2.14, closest to the 2.1V. I've set it at both these setttings and everytime I save the changes in the BIOS is makes the boot up seem to hang before showing a error message saying it failed to boot twice before. Then it shows a count down message to either enter setup or continue. When continuing it loads fine but Everest shows the SPD as: 5-5-5-18 (CL-RCD-RP-RAS) / 23-51-3-6-3-3 (RC-RFC-RRD-WR-WTR-RTP).

The problems are that I can set the 4-4-4-12 but it's the other settings which remain on auto and I don't know what to change to.

Why is the memory not changing its speeds even though I have set them seemingly correctly?

I've now run memtest86+ and prime95 to see if the memory had any problems. Luckily there were no reported problems but it still doesn't explain why the timings are so different even though I've set them in the bios.

Any one have any clues to what's happening....?
