Hello,

i want to increase my system Ram from 4 GB to 8 GB. So i bought another 4 GB Kit of CM2x2048-6400C5DHX.

My old Kit has the version number ver4.1 and my new Kit is ver1.2.

So the first one should have PSC chips and the second Micron.

Is this ok, or should i go and get another Kit with the same Version number?

Thank you for your help.

Regards,

Dirk

Should be OK just don't mix them, and with 4 modules I would suggest setting the memory frequency at DDR667 and set the memory Voltage to 2.1 Volts and set the NB/MCH/SPP Voltage to +.2 Volts as well and test the system with http://www.memtest.org. In addition, with some MB's (Mostly ASUS) you have to disable legacy USB in the bios when running any memory test.
