Hi guys,

Recently bought a 2nd hand paired CMX1024-3200PRO (2GB in total) for my old system which consists of P4 3.0GHz 800FSB, Asus P4P800-E Deluxe, HIS radeon HD4670, 650W PSU, 160GB Maxtor SATA hard drive and LG DVD-ram. Before that I was using 2 x CMX512-C2 and the system was working spot on. Now when I replace the old ram with these 2 X CMX1024-3200PRO the system won't even able to boot into bios and no display at all. Can't even have a chance to run memtest. Is these rams not compatible with the system or??? Please kindly help me out. Thanks in advance.

Please reset the MB BIOS and then set the Dim Voltage to 2.7X volts and then set the timings manually to the tested settings for the specific module you have, and then test the module/modules one at a time with http://www.memtest.org! If you still get errors, please follow the link in my signature “I think I have a bad part!” and we will be happy to replace them or it! However, if you get errors with both modules that would suggest some other problem and I would test them in another system or MB to be sure.
