CRB54
Purchased computer 11/08/07, from “Extreme Gear” a division of “Cyberpower”, Experienced a circuit overload, (threw the breaker) happened only once. Have another comp. on same circuit. Went to restart, lights came on briefly then died. Other comp. is fine. Extreme Gear warranty-1yr. Cyberpower warranty-3yrs. I was told to refer to original manufacturer of PSU (Tagan), yea right, have you ever tried to find these guys? Well this is what complicates my dilemma. Tired of trying to reach “Tagan” I purchased a new PSU, CORSAIR CMPSU-1000HX 1000W ATX12V 2.2 / EPS12V 2.91, nice power supply, (modular). Thought I was up and running again, BUT NOOOO! After 5 starts, BLOWN -bye bye. Motherboard? Surge protector? Dumb luck? Dirty Power? HELP, I’ve blown $600.00 bucks worth of power supplies in 3 wks. I don't want to connect another PSU until I'm confident I won"t toast another one.
