Andrewski
I have no idea what programs or what settings in BIOS that I need to change to make this RAM run at 1600. I have a Phenom ii X4 955, so CPU power is not an issue.
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted September 9, 2009 Corsair Employees Share Posted September 9, 2009 With that MB and CPU I doubt it will run much above DDR1333, I would go to BIOS setup and load setup defaults and then set the Voltage that is printed on the modules and set the Memory frequency to run the memory at DDR1333 and then test the system with http://www.memtest.og to be sure its stable. Bmass
This is interesting. I'm on my second build and I have this exact set up. The motherboard won't allow initial tests to pass the memory. After talking to the tech guy at the local store, he said he has heard of issues with this specific setup between the i5 and RAM. He was going to research it into further detail and let me know. Is is not the motherboard, we are certain of that. We tested everything with an intel mobo and still had the same issues.
