kydicarus
When i run everything at stock which puts the ram at 1066 im getting the full 6gb in bios, but when i apply the XMP profile or manually change the settings to get to 1600 im only seeing 4gb show up. Ive tested each stick individually and and everything checks out but when all three are in im only seeing 4gigs. I have another 6gig kit of the same product because i wanted to install 12gb and both kits used individually are showing the same 4gb results. here is what i have tried : clearing cmos, reseating the processor, changing timings, changing dram & qupi voltages, i thinking it might be a mobo issue. any help would be awesome. thanks! Wired
It's either a slot or memory controller issue. Probably the latter.
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted September 9, 2009 Corsair Employees Share Posted September 9, 2009 Did you check on the website for a BIOS update for that MB? If not I would try that and see if that helps.
