camelot1971
Hi there Im a UK member, just did an upgrade of my system to that in my profile. The problem is the PC just reboots randomly, even in BIOS. Through the process of elimination it seems the Dominator memory doesnt want to play with my system. I swapped in some Corsair Value Select 667 ( 4x1Gb ) and it works fine, no reboots, stable OS etc. I tried to do memtest on the memory, it gets to about 11% of run one then reboots, sometimes a bit sooner, it does this with both modules, or either one in single channel. It doesnt show an error, just reboots. I have adjusted the settings as best i think i can in the BIOS - ddr2 1066, 2.1v, 5-5-5-15, and it still does it, also tried the same settings but at ddr2 800 and still the same. Am i missing something or do i have a pair of faulty modules? Thanks for the help
Wired
How many sticks do you have? Which memtest are you using? Assuming it's memtest86+ v2.11 testing one stick at a time, if both sticks have the same issue, it's probably the memory controller or the slot itself. Try testing both sticks in a different slot, one stick at a time of course.
