Evanesco
Hi! Maybe a stupid question. I have two P128 SSD discs with the latest firmware, but with S128 label:!:, configured in RAID0. When Samsung (hopefully VERY soon) relaseses the new firmware, with TRIM support, will Windows 7 still be able to use the TRIM function when the drives are configured in RAID0 mode? techspec6
For trim to function, it would have to be supported by the OS, Raid controller and the SSD itself. The raid controller manufacturers getting off their collective butts and writing TRIM compatible drivers will probably be what holds up the process. Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted September 17, 2009 Corsair Employees Share Posted September 17, 2009 Just don't jump to conclusions it will probably be late this year or Mid year next year before this starts to unfold and run smoothly on 90% of the controllers on the market. Its new technology and with anything new it takes time..
