Dallanar
My new 800D is due to ship anyday if the preorder information is correct so now I just need the RAM for my classified to really get started on this... Now EVGA comes out with a MoBo needing 10 pci slots, oh well, I am sticking with what I have, I just want it up and running with the 12 gig kit but I can't find it yet. Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted September 2, 2009 Corsair Employees Share Posted September 2, 2009 I am sorry I do not have any ETA information other then they are in production and I would expect them to start showing up on resellers sites any day now, you might search for them at http://www.pricegrabber.com
Dallanar
Thanks, I will try there or keep looking. One question, I am assuming the kit will work in the EVGA Classified correct?
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted September 2, 2009 Corsair Employees Share Posted September 2, 2009 Yes they should run great on that MB, just update the BIOS first thing.
wuyanxu
any ETA on 4GB per stick DDR3 RAM's? im sure most people would say there is no need, but i find 8GB to start limit me and would really like to have 16GB on the new i5 platform. unlike most people, i don't care about its throughput as even 10% difference won't be noticeable to human. so something like 1333Mhz cas9 will do for some early 4GB sticks. please, please
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted September 3, 2009 Corsair Employees Share Posted September 3, 2009 I am sorry but not at this time, but I would expect to see them around the time Windows 7 launches.
Dallanar
I have been scouring the net but still nothing. My Obsidian 800D arrives on the 9th so guess I will start the build and then make it a paperweight until the RAM is available :( I am also waiting on the Hydro H30 water cooling block for Dominator GT as well, I guess it will be compatible with the new RAM? Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted September 9, 2009 Corsair Employees Share Posted September 9, 2009 No that will only work with our Dominator GT modules. Sorry!
Dallanar
CMD12GX3M6A1600C8 The Article stated that the Ram uses the new DHX cooling technology and the goes further to state http://www.corsair.com/news/press_release.aspx?id=1091464 Quote: "About DHX+ Technology Corsair’s innovative DHX+ technology uses specially designed, high-quality heat-sinks and a custom-designed PCB that allows both the front and rear of the memory ICs, and the printed circuit board itself, to be cooled. DHX+ technology also allows for the cooling fins to be removed, allowing for a range of modular cooling accessories including extended heat-sink fins, the Hydro H30 series water-block and Ice series T30 thermo-electric cooler, which cools the memory up to 20C below room temperature for maximum overclocking performance. " I don't mean to be a pain, I have waited for my Obsidian 800D, which I now have, and am looking to start my EVGA Classified build but I need the RAM and wanted to run a dual loop W/C kit for the block and the RAM while running the H50 for the CPU. I have seen no on offering to even pre-order the RAM 12 Gig Kit as of yet and have no idea on the RAM cooler but if it doesn't fit then I need to take a different approach. Sorry for so many questions.
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted September 11, 2009 Corsair Employees Share Posted September 11, 2009 The new modules will use our GT Design for the heat spreader and will work our memory cooling solutions sorry I confused you.
Dallanar
Thanks for clearing that up for me. I thought I had to redo my thinking once again after going through the research for so many different builds when selecting components. Man this is a full time job sometimes finding just the parts you want in your build. Thanks again.
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted September 11, 2009 Corsair Employees Share Posted September 11, 2009 NP and I do know what you mean, it is a struggle for me to keep up with all of our products let alone other related products.
Dallanar
I have my 800D, and most of my build sitting in the boxes waiting and the radiator and cooling blocks are here this week. Now I am just waiting on the RAM. Any idea on when the CMD12GX3M6A1600C8 will be available yet? I really don't want to buy a different kit only to replace it when this one comes out. It seems the 8 Gig kit is available (?) but not the 12 GiG yet. Sorry to keep asking but I REALLY want to get this build underway and looking at the boxes is killing me, although once the blocks and stuff get here I can start the build and wait on the RAM but that is just utterly frustrating to have it ready. Any news or some sort of ETA would be great so I can at least have an idea. I even have my H30 in the mail, ordered direct from Corsair.
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted September 17, 2009 Corsair Employees Share Posted September 17, 2009 I am sorry I do not know any ETA's except the Cases I would expect in the next week or two at most. I know they were on a ship 10 days ago heading this way.
Dallanar
Thanks again for the response. I should have all of my build in at the end of the week and will start the build next week. I am sure I have some painting/powder coating to do to make things uniform and I am still waiting on some sleeving supplies for any odds and ends that need it like fan cables for the radiator. Should be the end of next week so I am hoping to hear something by that time as the RAM is my only hold up now that I foresee anyway. Thanks again, you rock for keeping an eye on the forums so well. Dallanar
Still looking for the 12 Gig kit but I have yet to see anything except on the 8 Gig kit. :( I have almost all of my parts in now, just some tools and wiring to go now but still no RAM. Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted September 24, 2009 Corsair Employees Share Posted September 24, 2009 I am sorry but I cannot find any ETA for that part, however I see several resellers selling the HX3X12G1600C9 set of modules you may have to settle for that one or maybe a slower kit till they are available like TR3X3G1333C9. Dallanar
Yes, I am guessing I will go with the cheaper kit for now and wait since I have my H30 waiting. I am starting the build this weekend so barring any major mods, It should be done early in the week. Just figuring out fan configurations now. Dallanar
I see that our Canadian brothers have started listing the RAM but none in stock so I am guessing it will be available soon? Good thing I keep thinking of more mods to do on my case to delay building it :P http://ncix.com/products/index.php?sku=44437&vpn=CMD12GX3M6A1600C8&manufacture=Corsair http://www.pricebat.ca/Corsair-XMS3-Dominator-GT-CMD12GX3M6A1600C8-12GB-DDR3-6X2GB-DDR3-1600-CL8-8-8-24.p_10102531/
