fragment
hi, i recently bought a barebone with two corsair sticks (2x2048MB) i forgot which model. It came with an asus motherboard (M2N68-AM SE2). my computer before would bootup with two ram sticks inserted, but now it only runs off of one. I am currently on the computer, but with only 2 gigs of ram. my ram requires 1.8v, 800mhz, so i set the memory clock value to 400mhz (my mobo doesnt provide 1.8v, it only requires 2.05, 2.15, 2.25). the computer booted up with the sticks inserted, then right when it got to the windows welcome screen, a blue screen appears then the computer restarts automatically after a couple seconds. What is the problem?
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted August 28, 2009 Corsair Employees Share Posted August 28, 2009 Will it post and pass http://www.memtest.org with either one of the modules when only one is installed? If so that may not be the memory. If one will not post but the other module run properly then, please use the On Line RMA Request Form and we will be happy to replace them. fragment
Hi, at the moment I am running my computer with only one ram stick inserted, and the pc works fine, but when I have two ram cards in, it goes to the welcome screen and a blue screen appears, then it automatically restarts. I am curious how I would fix this problem, and if I have to configure some things in the BIOS. Such as timings, frequency, etc. and if someone could send me a link to an instructions manual? My ram came with a small little paper that showed how to insert the memory, not tweak anything. specs and info: http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/searchtools/item-Details.asp?EdpNo=4631346&sku=C19-4232
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted September 1, 2009 Corsair Employees Share Posted September 1, 2009 You would need to get the MB and or CPU replaced and or tested to be sure one is not failing.
