Bob1967
I would like to use Corsair TR3X3G1600C8D together with Noctua NH-C12P on Asus P6TD Deluxe. When I have taken all measurements I have found that Dual-path Heat Xchange of DIMM A1 memory module is about 3mm from CPU cooler heat pipes (see sketch), where white rectangulars presents memory. Is it acceptable (no risk of heating/overheating memory module)? What would be minimum distance to memory modules which is still acceptable in terms of heat dispersion? I would appreciate your help? Wired
That's normal for any decent heatsink and that motherboard. Check my profile gallery. You'll see the same thing.
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted August 27, 2009 Corsair Employees Share Posted August 27, 2009 As long as they are not touching I doubt there would be any problems, but you may be able to add one of our Memory Fans should heat be an issue. Bob1967
Thanks for all your feedback. Wired, I think you are using Noctua NH-U12P and mine will be NH-C12P. Your memories are close to the fan and mine will be close to heat pipes. By the way what is thickness of the Dominator memory (looks pretty thick on your photos)?
