chamiz
Hi, I just recently built a new i7 system. I'm using TR3X6G1600C8 6GB kit with the Asus P6T Deluxe V2. I booted up and used CPU-Z to check the frequency that it is running and it shows 532MHz. All the settings in the motherboard are in it's default setting. Should I just enable XMP setting to achieve the 800MHz for an effective frequency of 1600MHz or should I do it manually? Please advice. Thanks. Wired
Correct, enable XMP and that's it.
chamiz
Okay, it's working fine now. Thanks! I also see that the voltage for the RAM is set to 1.66V when I did the XMP Profile #1 for the RAM. Is that okay since the mobo stated that Intel CPU spec said not to go above 1.65V? Wired
Yep, that's fine. You can turn it down to 1.64v if you like. That's what I did.
chamiz
Okay, I will bring it back down to 1.64V to make the fonts YELLOW.
