Satamony Posted August 26, 2009 Share Posted August 26, 2009 well since i have got those modules i gone through a lot of searches ,reads and steps and view others cases to do my best before posting this thread. one of my modules is giving error using memtest wall time 5:23:55 caches 2045m rsvd mr 53m mem map e820-std cache on ECC off TEST std PASS 12 ERRORS 6 ERRS 0 TEST 3 PASS 0 FALLING ADDRESS 000515C1324-1301-0MB GOOD EFEFEFEF BAD EFEFAFEF ERR BITS 000040000 COUNT 1 i have tried all these steps: 1-updated the bios 2-tried my old modules CM 2X1024-6400C4 timing 4-4-4-12 with my new modules CM2X2048-6400C5 timing 5-5-5-18 and set the bios to auto and entered timing manually (5-5-5-18) :showed errors 2- tested both NEW modules together : showed errors 3- separate NEW modules and test one by one : one NO errors and other got error 4- adjust settings to auto and timing entered it manually : no difference same errors 5- test in a different ram slot : errors 6-test my other good new module in the other slot that showed error with the other module : no errors 7- tried my old modules alone : no errors so as you see from above this is the error of one of my new modules CM2X2048-6400C5 so please advise your recommendations?
