gfrancey
Hi, My Vista home premium laptop will not see the Flash Drive. It doesn't show up in device manager or disk manager. it will briefly show the safely remove drive icon and when opened up the screen is blank. Other flash drives work fine on the laptop. There is no prompt to install drivers when its plugged in. The light flashes briefly and intermittently. I'm running Kapersky Antivirus and I've updated to vista svc pack 2 hoping that would resolve it.
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted August 26, 2009 Corsair Employees Share Posted August 26, 2009 Have you tried running the flash drive on another system and does it have the same results?
gfrancey
Yes, it works on my XP pro desktop without any issues. It also works on my other XP pro laptop. Can't figure out why Vista won't prompt to install drivers when I plug it in.
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted August 27, 2009 Corsair Employees Share Posted August 27, 2009 If this is the case you first want to make sure you have all the lasted updates and service pack for Vista. If it still does not work you might need to contact Microsoft and the OS should provide the drivers.
