Jaydip
Hi i recently installed TR3X3G1333C9 in my new core i7 system. The memory is downclocked to 1067 MHZ with timings 8-8-8-26 1T.The system BIOS doen't offer me any means to change the memory frequency.I downloaded memset which also doesn't allow me to edit memory frequency only latencies.I want to run my ram at the stipulated speed. I understand that the IMC of core i7 is rated at 1066MHz only, but i have seen others running 1333 and even 1600 MHz modules in this platform(Bios helps them i believe). And if i am forced to run my memory at 1067 MHz:mad: what will be the optimum meomry timings? Please help me.Thanx.
Wired
Can't find a manual for that motherboard on their website. How'd you come to pick that particular motherboard? It's more for a workstation / server than a home PC.
Jaydip
Well i thought that a worksation board would be far more stable than the DX58SO board.I had a bad experience with their desktop board.I don't know if i have made a mistake by choosing it over the more popular DX58SO.Anyway here is the link for the technical product specification.I know you have found it but anyway here it is http://www.intel.com/support/motherboards/server/wx58bp/sb/CS-030315.htm
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted August 21, 2009 Corsair Employees Share Posted August 21, 2009 Most of the server/Workstation MB's will not give you the option to change any settings in the BIOS and you would need to be able to set the modules tested settings in the MB BIOS. Jaydip
SO that means i should not use any third party tools like memset or cpu tweaker to change my memory timings right?
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted August 24, 2009 Corsair Employees Share Posted August 24, 2009 No they will not change the settings so you can use the system that way it would need to be done in the MB BIOS.
