Grayfox19
 I am building a PC using the HX1000 PS. All the power cables are connected to the MB EXCEPT for the aux power connection on the new Intel DX58SO. The HX came with all sorts of cables, but I don't seem to have this one. Am I missing something obvious? At age 70, this is quite possible!
Wired
There is no 5 pin connection. What connection are you talking about? Technical Product Specification Section 1.1.2 (page 11) has a full diagram of your motherboard.
Grayfox19
Thank you for replying, if you pull up the Intel DX58SO "Product Guide", check on page 54, Figure 30 (B). It looks like they may be using a SATA style connector, and I have those with the HX1000, but I WANT TO BE SURE.
Wired
As it says in both the Product Guide as well as the the Technical Product Specification, that's just a SATA power cable connection. You can use that port (which is actually C), or a 4 pin connection on B.
Grayfox19
Thank you WIRED! I noticed also that it stated that BOTH aux connections, B&C can be used "if" more power is required when using PCIe cards. I am using XFX Radeon 4850, so might it be wise to use both? Wired
Couldn't hurt. Don't think that card is powerful enough to need both though.
