Puzzles
I just built my computer with the memory and motherboard in the title, as well as an intel core 2 Quad core 2.83GHz processor, and I'm not sure where the issue is. I get a Keyboard/Interface Error in a post report and if I hit F1 to try and boot Windows with any of the options the Windows loading screen pops up for half a second and the system restarts. From what I've read there could be a compatibility issue with the RAM and the Mobo, but I've overclocked the CPU and DRAM settings in the BIOS to make sure it is compatible. I would greatly appreciate any help.
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted August 19, 2009 Corsair Employees Share Posted August 19, 2009 What are the settings you have set for both CPU and memory?
Puzzles
The CPU settings I left at auto, the DRAM Frequency is set to DDR3-*1600MHz* and the DRAM Voltage is at 1.8. I changed those 2 from auto, but the results were the same either way. According to the post report this automatically OC'd my CPU to 3GHz I just saw what you posted in another thread about RAM not being able to not be faster than the CPU FSB speed with Intel, is there a way to OC the FSB of the CPU? Will it damage it?
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted August 19, 2009 Corsair Employees Share Posted August 19, 2009 The CPU you have runs at 1333 FSB so the fastest you could set the memory would be DDR333 and yes you can lower the CPU Multiplier and then increase the CPU Frequency to get more out of the system, I would suggest doing a search for that MB and reviews to see how the reviewers over clocked the MB. Puzzles
I've got the CPU so that the FSB Speed's at 1608, but the system still won't start...
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted August 20, 2009 Corsair Employees Share Posted August 20, 2009 Will the system run and pass http://www.memtest.org with the CPU at Default and the memory set to DDR1333? If so then more then like its your O/C.
