dnutpop
all default settings, keep getting blue screen of death. Tried the windows memory diagnostics and came up saying problems found but won't show results as to what the problems are. Is there a way to determine if its the Ram or another component? Wired
You can use Memtest (link and instructions on the left). Those modules need the voltage set manually. If they don't have the correct voltage this could cause errors. You'll have to go into the advanced options of your BIOS to set it.
Corsair Employee RAM GUY Posted August 20, 2009 Corsair Employee Share Posted August 20, 2009 Yes please set the memory Voltage manually to +.3 Volts so the memory voltage is at 2.1 Volts and test them with http://www.memtest.org to be sure one is not failing. dnutpop
In the bios there is an option for +0.25 and also +0.3, the +0.25 will put it to 2.1 Volts and the +0.3 will do 2.15V. Should I use the +0.25 option? and also did memtest and a list of about 7 or 8 errors came up
Corsair Employee RAM GUY Posted August 20, 2009 Corsair Employee Share Posted August 20, 2009 What test did you get the errors and what slots do you have the modules in, did you try moving them to the other two slots?

Corsair Employee RAM GUY Posted August 21, 2009 Corsair Employee Share Posted August 21, 2009 Yes test them one at a time and I would try running them at DDR800 if you have not set that already.
