boobeat
Hi guys, I have purchased one year ago a kit of 4 x 1Go Corsair dominator CM2X1024-8500C5D. They were part of a brand new machine I was building. Full spec = XMS2-8500 1024MB 1066Mhz 5-5-5-15 2.10V ver 2.1 08160617 The machine were first installed under windows vista. I had a lot of application crashes and blue screens. I have then format the machine and install it back under windows vista, but I still had the issue. I have then format the machine and install it under windows XP, but I still had the issue. I have then format the machine and install it under ubuntu, but I still had application crashes and some system freezing. Finally I decided to run some hardware tests, including CPU stress test, HDD test, and memory tests. I have performed my memory tests using Memtest86-v3.3. The test results in thousand and thousand of errors. This test was performed with the four RAM plugged-in. I have then performed the test four each RAM one by one. Two of them are absolutely perfect but the two others have thousand of error for each. Now I am running my computer with only the two perfect RAM and it works fine. I am not having any crashes under windows XP or Ubuntu since I have removed the two erroneous RAM. So I am witting those line to ask for an exchange . Kind regards, Boobeat
