wild061
hi im currently reading up about a good choice for a 12GB kit (or 2x6GB kits) for the P6T Deluxe V2, at the moment im deciding between a 12GB corsair kit (HX3X12G1600C9) at 1600 and 9-9-9-24 (really want 1600 and 12GB btw) and another brands 12GB kit at 1600 and 7-7-7-24, the other option would be to get 2 lots of the dominator c8 kits or 2 lots of the dominator c7 kits and hope they work together. the issue is that i definately want to overclock the 920, ill be putting in to 3.5, ive read that as soon as you overclock, the timings get thrown out the window and its basically 9-9-9-24 anyway, so i just want to know if the HX3X12G1600C9 will be the most stable and cost efective solution for 1600mhz 12GB kits for an overclocked 920 system or if there would be any benefit going two c8/c7 dominator kits? i dont mind spending a little more, as long as it actually benefits, would really hate to spend up for c8/7 and end up having to downgrade the timigs anyway :(: thanks for any assistance. options so far: 1- 1 kit - HX3X12G1600C9 (6x2GB; 1600; 9-9-9-24) $339AUD 2- 1 kit - *BRANDX* >.< (6x2GB; 1600; 7-7-7-24) $375AUD 3- 2 kits - TR3X6G1600C7 (3x2Gb + 3x2GB; 1600; 7-7-7-20) $430AUD 4- 2 kits - TR3X6G1600C8D (3x2Gb + 3x2GB; 1600; 8-8-8-24) $438AUD 5- 2 kits - TR3X6G1600C7D (3x2Gb + 3x2GB; 1600; 7-7-7-20) $478AUD *obviously im not asking for a recomendation for option 2) lol, but im torn between getting 1) for stability and guarentee of it working, and the slippery slope (3, 4 or 5) of reducing the latency (but with posibility of it not working and having to be used at default anyway)*
