Didn't receive rebate

Recommended Posts

What a surprise I never received my rebate.

I would like to submit my thread to potential buyers this company is engineered to reject your rebate application or for one reason or another not send you your rebate.

Don't expect your rebate and you won't be disappointed.

Brand loyalty was not rewarded nor will it be given by me again.

Flame on!

I think the procedure is to not send you the rebate and see if you call them back. If you don't then you are out of luck. If you go to their website and track your rebate they indicate a letter you are about to receive any second and you never get it. One big holding pattern designed to pay as few people as possible.

So I called and complained and I supposedly will get the rebate this time unless they can find another reason to not send it.

Since I don't normally do rebates I assume this experience is not new to those that have pursued rebates religiously.

What I am starting to think is three layers of deception exist here:

1. Advertise a reduced price with artificial deadline that resets each month or close to 8 months a year.

2. Get upc barcode from box to immediately eliminate the return option.

3. Never pay the rebate or keep denying applications because you used blue ink instead of black or just deny everyone the first time and see who wants to wait on hold to be told you may or may not receive your rebate in 30 more days.

If I can help anyone with this process then my post will be worth reading or scrubbed from this board to protect the eyes of new consumers.

Cheers.

I'm guessing you haven't read the forums much. If someone has a problem with their rebate, Corsair helps them.

Can you be any more specific about your rebate, e.g. what you bought, where you bought it from, when you bought it, when you sent in the rebate, etc?

We do not edit posts simply because the subject is unpleasant.

Our rebates are not scams. They are handled by a 3rd party. Occasionally, errors occur. When errors occur, we fix them.

You have been told by customer service you will get the rebate. There is no deception here and that remark is not really fair or accurate.

You got me. I don't visit the forums much. I quickly scanned them when deciding to purchase this PSU and didn't see many complaints so I thought I would give it a shot. Don't shoot me because I wonder where the other complaints go. The rebate section is cleared of all but my post and one other. I can and will evaluate the forum as I see it.

I bought CORSAIR CMPSU-750TX 750W ATX12V / EPS12V SLI Ready CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS Certified Active PFC Compatible with Core i7 Power Supply - Retail

Item #: N82E16817139006 Corsair belonging to this rebate: 8MIRsMar18Mar3109jh28, from Newegg. That's the where, what and the when as the rebate was submitted on time.

Ok they naturally disappear because time goes by etc. Fine. Still as mentioned before I would prefer not to get shot over commenting this section of the forum is barren of posts.

Yes my point exactly... count on the errors? I called the corsair back and they indicated since I have a po box as my primary address they would be happy to send the rebate...now that I waited four months and called them back. To you I ask simply this: Why didn't they send me the letter they promised on their website I would receive? The only explanation is mail gets lost, but is that really it? I don't think so. I think they deny and invalidate whenever they can and see who is left wanting their rebate. I can only return to my original advice and that is don't give this brand your loyalty for they surely don't return the favor.

We shall see, you have certainly lost the benefit of the doubt as far as I am concerned.

The forum has not been purged of posts. We are simply reorganizing so it has likely been moved.

As far as getting your rebate, contact Customer Service and provide them your rebate information.
