jasonmcoe
Just got my Corsair TX650w power supply today and hooked it up to my computer and nothing is happening. Fan twitched a bit on startup but nothing. Checked all connections and everything was fine, did paperclip test on PSU and fan was spinning fine. I noticed that the 8pin 12v hookup was already split into two 4pins, dont know if that makes a difference. My motherboard's 12v input is a 4pin and its in fine. Is it my motherboard? I have a ASUS M3N78-VM I bought just in March. I think the ATX for it might be 2.0. Will this power supply run with a motherboard w/2.0ATX? Thanks! Wired
All Corsair PSUs will work with ATX v2.01 and higher. The manual of that manual only says v2.0 and higher, but that motherboard's too new to be v2.00, so should work just fine.
jasonmcoe
Well I got good news now and some bad news. Tried turing computer on again at it fired up, PS running as well as processor fan and hard drive. However now the computer won't post. Don't hear any beeps or anything and nothing on the screen. Guess I check the connections again but don't see what's wrong yet. This is not fun :(
