EliteSniper177
I'm having trouble finding out if the EVGA E760 can support Corsair memory, more specifically the TR3X6G1600C8D. On newegg the Ram is included in a combo with the motherboard so i assumed some compatibility. But after looking at the compatible motherboards with the TR3X6G1600C8D on this site, i found that the E760 was unlisted. The closest motherboard to the E760 that is listed is the EVGA E769, which is very similar, but liquid cooled. Ive read about some compatibility issues in the past with EVGA boards and corsair memory and want to bee sure the RAM works well for my new rig. Is the TR3X6G1600C8D compatible? And if not is there a different 2GB Corsair that is? Any Help is much appreciated.
Wired
They're compatible. Many people are using that combo. The biggest compatibility concern is the memory controller which isn't even on the motherboard on Core i7 systems.
EliteSniper177
Ah, that's good to know, so since the memory controller is built into the CPU, the memory is limited to what the CPU can support? Which according to intels website is 1066 for the i7 950.

Wired
Correct, but you can still overclock the memory. Turn on XMP and you should be all good to go.
