Teonor
Hi, i have to replace the power supply on my old PC The motherboard is an asus p5gpl-x and it requires an atx12v 2.0 compliant psu Every Corsair PSU is backwards compatible to 2.01. will it work anyway on my mobo? I know the only difference between 2.0 and 2.01 is the -5v rail which is absent in the latter. Will this lack cause any problem on a 2.0 system? thanks
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted August 12, 2009 Corsair Employees Share Posted August 12, 2009 It is hard to say. I have seen may ATX v2.0 or older systems with various type of problem running with ATX v2.01 or newer PSU. We can't guarantee its compatibility if the system is not ATX v2.01 or newer.
