nugget28
Just got my voyager GT today. Didnt get a disc bundled with it, downloaded the utility installed it and for some reason or another it wouldn't actually run (is it known to not work with vista x64?). Now my write speed using a cut and paste is 11mb/s which is not as fast as i believed it should be. Drive is formatted to FAT32 if that makes a difference. Got a write speed of 11049 (guessing 11.04 MB write speed) in HDbench just did another in my Front USB (technically on top of my case) and got 8.7MB in HD Bench. Wired
There is no utility for the USB drives. Hasn't been for years. What did you download, and from where? For that matter, what size drive do you have?
nugget28
After further investigation this seems to be a normal speed for the 16gb models bit dissapointed but what can you do :( BTW live in Australia so not too sure how the RMA process would go. Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted August 11, 2009 Corsair Employees Share Posted August 11, 2009 Please try and format the drive with the Format utility from the SD-CARD Organization. Then run the test again and see if that helps. But the write speed for the GT should be about 16 MBps
nugget28
Just formatted it using that tool and its gone up to 12.6mb so still not at the 16mb mark you mentioned.
