Touge180SX
I want to individually sleeve each of my PCI-E wires on my HX1000 but the modular cables have the ferrite filter on them. Is it possible to remove this or move it to the other end of the cable so I can sleeve them or would that be bad? Thanks! Erik
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted August 10, 2009 Corsair Employees Share Posted August 10, 2009 We would not suggest you to remove the ferrite bead as it will void your warranty. They are there to reduce EMI and RFI interferences.
Touge180SX
That's what I thought! Thanks for the response RAM Guy! One question, are the ferrite magnets on the hard wired PCI-E cables internal to the PSU because I don't see any on there or is it just the modular ones that need it?
