shakerz
Hi, I just ordered parts for my new computer and I have heard that some people have been having problems using the XMP settings with a i7-920 CPU with D0 stepping. Is this true and if it is how should I configure my RAM (HX3X12G1600C9)? Thanks.
GearJunkie
I too am interested in this. Also, can you please post other timings that these modules are rated at? For example, what timings and voltages should be set if the modules run at DDR 1333? Thanks!
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted August 5, 2009 Corsair Employees Share Posted August 5, 2009 There should not be a problem with these modules just make sure that you have the latest BIOS then load setup defaults and then enable XMP profiles. The issue was with some of the faster modules that had a higher QPI Voltage setting and it seems that some of the (DO) Stepping CPU's do not like High QPI Voltages
GearJunkie
How about a recommendation for what timings and voltages should be set if the modules are run at DDR 1333? Thanks!
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted August 6, 2009 Corsair Employees Share Posted August 6, 2009 Just use Auto settings and set the Voltage to 1.65 Volts or less to 1.5 Volts just test with http://www.memtest.org to be sure its stable.
