magictoaster
I've received a new HX850 Corsair PSU yesterday (box in perfect condition), and when I opened it, something was rattling inside it, like a loose screw. Shaking it delicately, a small piece (lets say 2mm) of solder came out. Before plunging it my computer, it did the paper clip trick to see if it was going to burst in flames but nothing happened. It's powering my computer right now and it's working perfectly. Should I be concerned and return the unit?
magictoaster
I've already placed an order for a new unit (same one), and requested an RMA for the functional yet potentially defective unit, just to be safe.
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted July 31, 2009 Corsair Employees Share Posted July 31, 2009 There shouldn't be any loose screw in the PSU. I would get it replaced as well.
