To raid or not to raid?

I have read somewhere I forget at the moment where. If you raid up ssd's you may lose performance and lose the ability to use the Trim in the near future. Is this true? Also does anyone know how much faster 2 p128's are in raid compared to a single p128?

Both of these questions have already been asked and answered please do a bit more research

Trim is not supported yet and will not be until the official release of Windows 7.

And I would suggest doing a Google search for the drive and add the Keyword Review.

under real world use you not going to notice the performance increase with 2 SSDs over 1 SSD, for the most part all you get an big benchmark numbers that do not translate into real world, SSDs for the most part go faster then HDDs due to very high IOPS, the data rate on SSDs are not important for the most part as this review shows Corsair P256 in raid 0 setups better buying 1 P128 or P256

TRIM support must be supported at the RAID level or the command will not get sent to the drive (when windows 7 comes out and firmware)

(raid only be useful on SSDs if you need more IOPS and data rate in an server setup)

Its really personal preference is it faster than one drive? yes!

Will you see a difference in everyday use? Hard to answer as it will really depend on how you use your system!

that Samsung promoted a while back that is amusing to watch and has some information you might find useful.

OMG! 24 drives in raid. Not to mention 2gb of tranfer speed. That's insane. But awesome. Thanks fellas for the info. I was feeling a little lazy sorry. Sorry Ram Guy. I will search before I post. But thanks again.
