cbugher
After not using my pc for a few days I tried to boot it up and I get nothing. When I push the power button it just blips then nothing. I put my old video card in (evga 7600) which does not need to be plugged in and it works. I also just installed my 285 back in, but did not plug it in and the pc boots. No video though of course. I have a feeling it may be the 12 volt rail. Is there a fuse or a switch inside that needs changed? I haven't opened it up, I wanted to check on here first. Thanks in advance for any help. snowonweb
I am having similar problem. Two evga 9800gtx in SLI the system was unstable untill it finally won't boot. Unplugged the power from the video cards and the sytem boots fine. I have Corsair 750 PSU. Is there a way to measure output from PSU's sli connectors. Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted July 29, 2009 Corsair Employees Share Posted July 29, 2009 I would use a multimeter to check the 12volt on the PCI-E connector while it is plugged into the video card. The 12v should be within 5%; if not, then let's get it replaced (you can follow the link on my signature to get it replaced.)
