mobilecommand
Hello, I build my computer in 2/08 and everything has been rock solid since then. about a week ago my computer started to crash blure screen, and give constant errors messages about recovering certain parts of the registry until it would no longer load an os. yesterday i spent the day formatting the system and starting fresh with a new clean os. everything looked ok at first but one i started to launch games etc i would get weird lockups in the games. i ran memtest and i am getting errors. so far i am on pass 58% and i have logged 6912 errors. failing address 000aec6b1f4 2796.6mb bad 96c11c5a err-bits 00ff0000 count 6970 failing address 000aecab1c4 2796.6mb bad 96c11c5a err-bits 00ff0000 count 6971 there are lots more errors then that but i wanted to give you sampling. thanks
Wired
Test one stick at a time instead of both at the same time. This will help to determine if it's a slot or stick issue. Also, what timings / voltage are you running the memory at?
mobilecommand
i dont OC so i am running 4-4-4-12- t2 and 2.1 volt i pulled 1 stick out "the bad one" and doing memtest. after a while if i dont get errors i will swap the memory in slot 1 and i will post back with results. thanks

mobilecommand
Hello, so my computer crashed again today.. i can for sure say it one of the modules. so once the crash happened i put in mem test and it clocked 1000's of errors. so i split the memory to test each stick. 1 stick worked in every single slot in the MB and i was able to run memtest to 100 percent.. the other module would fail and clock 1000's of errors 2 or 3 seconds into the test. i took the memory to another computer and 1 module worked and the other module that is suspect did not work.. i am not sure why it started to work for a little bit unless it was the beginning of the end but it no longer works.. if anyone has any ideas for me to test out i am willing to give a go at it. thanks
FEAR6655
The module can pretty much be confirmed faulty now; use the RMA Request Form. Make sure to check the box "I've already spoken to Technical Support and/or RAM Guy."
