Klawful
Greetings I am having an issue with my ASUS P5B bios (Version 1803). It wont show any options (anywhere) to change the ram timings of my 2x 1gb DDR2 800Mhz Corsair CM2X1024-6400C4DHX memory. When I had my old generic 667mhz ram in, I did have the options available to me. CPU-Z (and other programs) all say that my ram is currently running at 5-5-5-18. I brought the ram specifically because it said it'd run at 4-4-4-12, and it does not. So uh, whats wrong with it? Any idea?
Wired
You have to set the timings manually. Check the manual for how to get access to those timings. Sounds like something was reset when you swapped memory.
Klawful
I updated the BIOS, and I found the settings. However, I don't know too much about CAS Latency and their settings, so I am hoping someone can please help me. I set the first 4 to 4-4-4-12 and it works fine, but the rest I dunno. They are: DRAM Write Recovery Time: 6 DRAM TRFC : 42 Rank Write to Read Delay: 10 Read to Precharge Delay: 10 Write to Precharge Delay: 11 What should I set those to for best performance?
