Bartflaster
Hi, I have the above memory and mainboard bios version P33 (latest I am aware of), but whenever I try to get the memory at 1066 the PC wont post, one long beep and resets to default. I have manually set the voltage to 2.1, and tried the timings on the stick (5.6.6.18.2T) and on the site configurator (5.5.5.15.2T) but no go. It seems I can go up to around 1050, but anymore and it fails to post. Is there something I am doing wrong ?
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted July 24, 2009 Corsair Employees Share Posted July 24, 2009 How many modules are installed and what CPU are you using? That may be normal as that chipset was rated at DDR800.
Bartflaster
Just the 2 modules, and currently using an E5200, althought the E6600 is going back in soon ;)
Bartflaster
I just re-checked and the 8500c5c modules are listed as 2.2v on this mainboard. So I tried it, and we have post @5.5.5.15 2T 2.2v Considering the modules state 5.6.6.18 2T 2.1v is this safe for them ?
Bartflaster
Edit: No go, keeps locking up in windows, dropped back to 800 and all is well so far. So you believe the Mobo does not support 1066 memory ? I guess it is getting on a bit :(
