Mithos
My HX 1000W power supply is making a clicking noise that sounds like it is coming from the fans. The noise is loudest when I turn my system on, and gets quieter and sometimes goes away completely when the computer has been on for a few hours. The noise only appears when my case is vertical, if I lay my computer down on its side the noise completely goes away. I have only had my computer since May this year, and the noise started within the past two weeks. I am pretty sure there is nothing in the fan grill that the fan is hitting, although that is what it sounds like. I have tried dusting the power supply with a can of air, but I'm not sure how effective it has been since the grills are so small. Any suggestions on cleaning or other possibilities on what could be wrong?
