jacklong
My new HX520W died after its first successful run. I installed and ran my computer successfully. Having tested that all devices ran properly I stopped the computer with the Windows XP command. I did not power off and tried to restart 15 minutes later with the front panel button. There was no response even after playing with the mains on/off switch. I reinstalled my old power unit and the computer worked Ok. I ran the simple power test from specmike's "Brief PSU Functionality Test" which cofirmed that the power unit is broken. I wonder if my power unit really blew (there was no bad smell) after having worked satisfactorily for 10 minutes. I also wonder if the warranty will work. Any advice? Thank you.
